New 3G iPhone Pictures.

The rumored 3G iPhone from Apple has been expected by many but no one knew if the phone itself would change. Today some pictures started popping up around the internet. TechCrunch has a picture of a packet that shows the new iPhone in colors and with a front camera making it able to have video chat easily. Engadget also has a picture of the new iPhone being unpacked. This one shows a very big box which is highly unexpected but it does show the front camera also. These pictures are not verified to be real but they sure look real and these pictures usually never lie.

iPhone Hacker Goes To My School.

One of the most talked about person recently, is the iPhone Hacker. His name is George Hotz and he goes to RIT. I just found out about this this afternoon. He is now a freshmen at my school who is getting a lot of publicity and buzz. I wonder if he will get special treatment from some teachers for being a short time “celeb”. Kudos to him and I hope he enjoys the long painful orientation week. I hope I get the chance to meet him around campus. He might be a future boss considering that there are rumors saying that he has a contract already to work for some company. You can read his blog Finding JTAG on the iPhone to learn how to unlock an iPhone. And welcome to RIT kid.

iPhone at Apple Refurbish Store.

The only way to buy “cheap” Apple products is to buy them refurbished. I bought one iPod Nano once from the refurbished store and it still works great, no complains. I know a few people who bought refurbished laptops and have never had any problems with them either. Now the iPhone is finally on apple’s refurbished website and it’s $100 dollars cheaper. After this price drop I would consider buying an iPhone. I still consider it a bit expensive but maybe that’s because I’m not big on mobile phones. But with this price drop and the rumors of a cheaper iPhone Nano vesion maybe there is hope for those of us who want a “cool” phone but don’t want to pay so much for them. I’m pretty sure a lot more people will buy the iPhone because of this new price drop.

Mac announces new iMac.

new iMac

iMac Keyboard

On todays Apple conference they officially announced and showed the new iMac. It is maid out of aluminum and glass, making it more shinny. These new iMac come only in two sizes: 20inch and 24inch. All screens are glossy apparently users preferred this version of screen. Also comes with a wireless mouse and a new keyboard. I must agree with the Engadget users, this new keyboard sucks. You can’t have a keyboard without a number pad, this isn’t a laptop. Other than that I don’t see nothing really new or exciting about these new iMac. Very disappointed, I was expecting better.

iPhone Has Bugs.

I told all my friends that if they really wanted to get an iPhone, just wait for the second version. Apple has a history for having issues with their 1st generation gadgets. Because the iPhone is a new thing, it is just right to find all the possible bugs so the second version of it won’t have them. AppleHound has a list of all the bugs they have found on the iPhone. They have it ordered by categories so it’s easier to see if your iPhone is having the same problems. Hopefully the rumored iPhone Nano won’t have these bugs.

iPhone, numbers are in.

It has been announced that AT&T sold 700,000 iPhones during the weekend. Most people bought the 8gb version of the iPhone. That isn’t really a surprise since the people who bought it wanted the best and did a big line to get the best. The only glitches reported so far is activation, but after a while you can work it out. It’s been great so far for their business and I hope it keeps going that way. Hopefully the iPhone will go down in price sooner or later considering that it only costs $250 to make. So maybe if the price goes down I will buy one, if not then tough luck.

WWDC 2007: Steve Jobs big announcements.

First of all, for everyone who doesn’t know what WWDC means (I didnt); it means Worldwide Developers Conference.

This was one of those big days where everyone waits for Steve Jobs to see what new toys and stuff he is coming out with. The main topic was Leopard, the new Mac Operating System. It looks very nice, you can see pictures all through the internet or you can watch a video at Apple.com . Now the truth is that if Bill Gates would of made an announcement and would have showed what Jobs did, everyone would criticize saying that it’s just a “prettier” windows that will probably need new minimum requirements. This is exactly what I thought of the Leopard. Yes it looks nice, great, some useless features (reflection dock? I dont need to see reflection of the icons…) . The best thing I read about the Leopard its that it runs 64-bit and 32-bit applications. You don’t need to different OS, this one could do both. I dont know how nobody else thought about that before…

Another “great” future is that you are able to have different “desktops” with different windows… Im sorry to all the mac fanboys but this has been going on for quite a while. Multiple desktops is something that almost all Linux users take advantage of. They also say that it has new “transparent’ coloring on the top main bar; this should of been part of the options long time ago since it’s not that hard to do. No big announcements in hardware or gadgets, just reminder of the iPhone that is comming out June 28 (finally a date). I wont buy one, it’s way too overpriced but if anyone wants to buy me one then go ahead :)
