New 3G iPhone Pictures.

The rumored 3G iPhone from Apple has been expected by many but no one knew if the phone itself would change. Today some pictures started popping up around the internet. TechCrunch has a picture of a packet that shows the new iPhone in colors and with a front camera making it able to have video chat easily. Engadget also has a picture of the new iPhone being unpacked. This one shows a very big box which is highly unexpected but it does show the front camera also. These pictures are not verified to be real but they sure look real and these pictures usually never lie.

Netflix Player, Movies On Demand.

I was just reading an article about Netflix’s new box where you could watch movies on demand. In the same way Apple TV and other products work; you could download movies and videos to watch on your television. The obvious difference is that Netflix is known for their wide range of movies and TV Series available. But because of the broadcasting rules and what not, Netflix only has 10% of the movies available through the box. Hopefully this is something that could change in the future.

The box itself only costs $100 dollars and it is available to regular users that pay the monthly fee to order movies by mail. It is said that it is easy to install and use. You only need a broadband wired or wireless connection to use it. The quality of the movies isn’t great and no where near High Definition. But in a few years if broadband grows and Netflix could work out something with the studios then this might be the greatest product of all times. People want things on demand. This would be revolutionary, the fact that you could pick between 100,000 movies (old and new) and have it in your Television at the time you desire is great. With this I could picture them selling them to users in a way where it would store the movie to system in a better quality. I see great improvement to this.

My Blackberry Pearl.

Blackberry Pearl

I finally got a new phone and it is exactly what I have been wanting for a while, a Blackberry Pearl. It is the nicest phone I have seen in a while and it is full of applications. Most PDA are a bit big but this one is the perfect size. I have also become a txting addict and the Pearl would help me with it’s bigger keyboard. It has a decent camera and battery life is great so far. I got it about two days ago so I am still playing around with it. And yes I did get the black one like the picture shows (not my phone in the picture). I love customizing my things so right now I am looking for websites where I can download free mp3 ringtones; if anyone knows of any please let me know. I know I can make them myself but I am a bit lazy about that right now. After I find a few nice ringtones for a few people who I deserve there own ringtone, I want to find some cool themes and maybe end up making my own theme. I also need to find a nice case to prevent scratches on the phone, have to treat my baby nice. It is light as a feather, sexy like a model and it does everything I need it to do and extra. I don’t have the internet and email functions because I can’t really pay for it, even though an uncle is paying for it right now (thank you very much). But if in the future I do need these functions then it will be available.

iPhone Hacker Goes To My School.

One of the most talked about person recently, is the iPhone Hacker. His name is George Hotz and he goes to RIT. I just found out about this this afternoon. He is now a freshmen at my school who is getting a lot of publicity and buzz. I wonder if he will get special treatment from some teachers for being a short time “celeb”. Kudos to him and I hope he enjoys the long painful orientation week. I hope I get the chance to meet him around campus. He might be a future boss considering that there are rumors saying that he has a contract already to work for some company. You can read his blog Finding JTAG on the iPhone to learn how to unlock an iPhone. And welcome to RIT kid.

GPhone Closer Than Expected ?

The rumors of a Google Phone (GPhone) are back and say that it might be ready in 2 weeks. According to a post in TechCrunch the GPhone might be ready to release in two weeks but Google hasn’t said anything about and they have denied rumors previously. But with Google looking interested in the airwaves and cellphones with the struggle of trying to buy some airwaves, anything is possible. And here is the image of what the GPhone might look like according to TechCrunch…

iPhone at Apple Refurbish Store.

The only way to buy “cheap” Apple products is to buy them refurbished. I bought one iPod Nano once from the refurbished store and it still works great, no complains. I know a few people who bought refurbished laptops and have never had any problems with them either. Now the iPhone is finally on apple’s refurbished website and it’s $100 dollars cheaper. After this price drop I would consider buying an iPhone. I still consider it a bit expensive but maybe that’s because I’m not big on mobile phones. But with this price drop and the rumors of a cheaper iPhone Nano vesion maybe there is hope for those of us who want a “cool” phone but don’t want to pay so much for them. I’m pretty sure a lot more people will buy the iPhone because of this new price drop.

Rumors About a Google Phone, GPhone ?

The rumors are starting to appear, is Google going to be part of the telephone wars and battle against Apple’s iPhone ? Google bidding on some wireless network s from the goverment and the Google text messaging service are a few of the things that back up these rumors. I doubt that Google would invest in creating a phone, it just doesn’t seem something that they would do. They are more of an online market, no hardwares. The rumored Gphone is said to be launched next year under T-Mobile which means something is in motion already. It will be a good battle, Gphone vs iPhone.

iPhone Has Bugs.

I told all my friends that if they really wanted to get an iPhone, just wait for the second version. Apple has a history for having issues with their 1st generation gadgets. Because the iPhone is a new thing, it is just right to find all the possible bugs so the second version of it won’t have them. AppleHound has a list of all the bugs they have found on the iPhone. They have it ordered by categories so it’s easier to see if your iPhone is having the same problems. Hopefully the rumored iPhone Nano won’t have these bugs.

iPhone, numbers are in.

It has been announced that AT&T sold 700,000 iPhones during the weekend. Most people bought the 8gb version of the iPhone. That isn’t really a surprise since the people who bought it wanted the best and did a big line to get the best. The only glitches reported so far is activation, but after a while you can work it out. It’s been great so far for their business and I hope it keeps going that way. Hopefully the iPhone will go down in price sooner or later considering that it only costs $250 to make. So maybe if the price goes down I will buy one, if not then tough luck.

Canon PowerShot A550.

Canon Power Shot a550

This is my new baby. Bought it recently; it is a great camera. It has 7.1 megapixels and 4x optical zoom. It costs $200 currently, which I believe is a fair price for a 7.1mp digital camera. It has a decent LCD screen to preview your pictures. For anyone who has had a Canon before they know that it is one of the best. It uses AA battery and doesnt support firewire. It’s a simply camera that is well worth it.
