Drag Me to Hell.

★★★½☆

I am a huge fan of horror movies but everyone knows that only one out of ten movies that come out classified as scary or horror are good, the rest are a joke. With Drag Me to Hell I expected a very corny movie that would be full of nothing and a few spooks but I was very wrong. The movie moves along at a good paste and tries to scare you from the start with little things and big things. The story line of the movie is good, keeps constant and somewhat believable. The whole movie is full of disgusting scenes that at some effect to the creepiness. It isn’t very bloody at all which maybe explains why it is PG-13 but it didn’t need blood to do the job. I recommend to go watch this movie, it is a fun movie to watch at the movies.

Dangerous Searches.

May 29, 2009 · Filed Under Security, Tech · Comment

There are a few keywords that will always bring up a bunch of websites that will have malware and viruses. Most people know that some of these keywords are porn, illegal programs- cracks and serial numbers-, and websites that claim to have “free” things. ZDnet published a very interesting article illustrating the most dangerous things to search for. Amazingly the most dangerous keyword to search for is “screensavers”. I’m sure the reason for this is that people will download programs that are actually viruses thinking that they will install nice screensavers for them. Also 1 out of 4 results for the search of “lyrics” will return websites that could possibly infect your computer. Before you do searches for these things make sure you go to trusted websites, you can search information about websites and see what people have to say about it in forums and blogs, it is the best way of finding out if something is legit or not.

Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian.

★★½☆☆

I was a big fan of Night at the Museum when it first came out in 2006. I thought it was pretty funny and very educational at the same time. When part two was announced to come out I was a bit excited over it, thinking that it will be the same or better. Unfortunetly Battle of the Smithsonian didn’t live up to what I expected. The movie was not as funny and the story looked a bit more rushed which meant you needed to see part one in order to get some of the jokes and some of the story. Robin Williams is such a great actor and comedian and they barely used him during the whole movie, he could have added a bit more of fun factors and jokes. The educational side of the movie was still there which is very good. Overall it wasn’t a bad movie but it wasn’t a success either. This movie is not worth going to the movies for, you are better off renting it when it comes out on DVD.

Microsoft reveals the future.

May 14, 2009 · Filed Under Microsoft, Tech · Comment

Engadget has published a video from Microsoft displaying there future view of your home. It makes me believe that we are one step closer to living like the Jetsons (the cartoons). We have all seen those projectors on table where you can touch things and move them around but we don’t know how expensive they are or big. But Microsoft seems to be targeting peoples home. What of that same projector idea is on a device no bigger than a regular phone? You can put it in your kitchen counter and play with it, have recipes projected next to your cooking table, drinks recipes, reminders flash next to you, all sort of things. But even cooler than that you could possible use these projector ideas to have “wallpapers” or reminders on your mirror that could help you out with your clothes. Make sure to look at the video because the number of things that you could possibly do with this would be infinite, the only boundary would be its cost.
