Changing The World.
A great way to start 2008 is by thinking of others. We all see the commercials on tv and remember that there are people and kids out there that are less fortunate and need our help. I’m a college student and can’t really afford to be giving away money but I can afford to give some of my CPU time. A great way to help out with research programs is using BOINC. You pick a project that you want to help out with and you become one more computer in the world helping out that cause. I personally like the World Community Grid that helps out in research development for AIDS/HIV, cancer, among other things. This wont make your computer run slow because it only uses your computer when you’re not using it. Now you don’t have the excuse of not having money. Also checkout FriedBeef which is doing a donation based on how many comments people leave and people are talking about their charity and donations.
