It’s been a long time since I talk about music so might as well do it now than never. What I’ve been hearing the most lately is Kanye West latest album, Graduation. It is without a doubt one of the best album of the years. Every song is good, every beat is good. There are a few songs that could of been better but they are still good. The only album that I’m looking forward to this year and I hope is just as good or better is Lupe Fiasco’s, The Cool. For now everything else is just a come and go, nothing that could stick for years.

As the internet age keeps growing and growing a lot of us are used to using nicknames for most things. People do it to be anonymous or to have a “cooler” name. But when you are looking for a job and decide to Google your name, nothing shows up. But if you Google your nickname you find all the work you have done. Someone finally asked the question in Slashdot.org about whether is right to put your nickname in your resume or just put your name and no nickname information. Some employers will find out your nickname if they do there research right. But this is also a tricky situation because your nickname might be something very stupid and you don’t want to give a bad impression. Or maybe you did something you regret with that nickname and don’t want your employer to know. Thus, everyone starting to do work online should start considering using part of their name as their nickname or just use there real name. Unless you feel comfortable telling an employer your nickname so he can Google you. This is tricky but some people did give good answers in the Slashdot.org discussion.

I finished the course on Film Arts and according to my teacher now I have more knowledge than most critics which I actually agree on. My second film analysis is on Raging Bull and I got a solid A on it. I could of done better but some simple spelling and sentence structuring problems didn’t allow me to get the full credit for it. This movie is a bit long and slow at times but it is still a great movie with great quotes. If you haven’t seen it go watch it. And here is the film analysis on it…. Read more…
Everyone seems to be very excited to go back home for thanksgiving break this year. It’s a break that seems to long for other and too short to the rest. I would prefer it to be shorter and our Christmas break to be longer, but I don’t make the rules. The second most exciting thing of Thanksgiving (besides the food) is Black Friday. This is the day where lots of stores go crazy with their sales. Things go on 60% discount or worse. The problem is that the better the offer, the less they have and the lower the chances of you getting it. If you want to get your hands on the best offers you will need to be at the store at least 1 hour before they open so you can get the best chance of getting what you want. I went last year but after I woke up and it was around 3pm already. I did see a lot of offers but nothing that would fit me since my size was already taken. This year I doubt I will wake up early to try and get something cheap. But I will wait to everything passes and hopefully get some good online deals during Black Friday. I did read a rumor that there is something called “Cyber Monday” which follows black friday with great deals, but I don’t know how true that is.
If you are interested in some of the crazy deals for Black Friday then google it or go to GottaDeal.com they seem to have a good list of whats going on for that day.
