Hugo Chavez Gives A Bad Name To Socialism, Again.
Socialism is a great way of living. In it’s basic form, socialism means society has the power and rules, not the goverment. But people like Hugo Chavez give socialism a really bad name. Hugo Chavez just changed the law to allow a president to run 7 terms. He didn’t force this upon congress, they actually voted for this. Now every time people will think about Socialism they will think about Hugo Chavez. Now, he did do a couple of good things for the poorer society in Venezuela but now he’s taking too much power. It’s kind of the same way Fidel Castro gave a bad name to Capitalism. Capitalism doesn’t mean rule a country all by yourself and kill your opponents. It means that everyone gets equality treated and everything equally, which works great in theory but because of selfish people who believe they’re better than others they don’t like sharing equally. I hope that one day someone could make a good use of what Socialism and Capitalism really are all about, and take the best of them as many countries have done (universal health care).

Yup, he’s giving it a real bad name. Sharing oil wealth to provide social programs like literacy and free health care. It was better when one third of the population didn’t share the countries oil wealth. damn.
Yup, he’s definitely grabbing power and stocking up on arms. When you’re in a game of topple the dictator, you have to be able to play the game. How do you win…stay in power. It never looks pretty. Neither does the covert operations and democratic organizations receiving funds from s o m e country?
He’s influencing to many countries, when will it stop. Let’s contain it. talk to me.
I don’t think you understand my point. He did a good job at socialism for a while… Now he’s becoming a dictator which I don’t support no matter what. Playing the game of “topple the dictator” usually becomes into a war or many other problems. He’s going from socialism to a dictator which isn’t what socialism is about.
I understand him stocking up on arms, every country should at least for minimum protection (specially his case, wanted dead by the CIA). And I do hope he influences other countries to see that Socialism isn’t bad, but dictatorship isn’t good either.
PD: Out of topic… but does someone see the pattern Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton ? … that will be one of my next topics.
Thanks for the comment, keep them coming. I appreciate people who voice their opinions one way or another.
That happends, lots of people get to this point.
Just like Leonel Fernandez in here(Dom.Rep), he’s not becoming a dictator but he’s taking the country down, and doing things that are abiously not for teh society, but for him; to increase his power, that pisses me off.
