Apple releases Apple TV and iPhone

January 10, 2007 · Filed Under Gadgets, Tech

This has been a very busy week in techonology.  This past week and I think its still going was CES’s conference (Consumer Electronics Association) where usually big companys introduce there newest toys and what might come out in a future. Everyone was awaiting for Steve Jobs and his anouncements, we all wanted to see what he brought this year. It was no surprise, he finally anounced and showed the iPhone

Apple iPhone
This phone is completely touch screen and was very hipped in the market. It is set to work for Cingular Wireless which was also rumored at last minute. Right now its not on stock but you could request it and wait in line as Im sure that there are many people already in line for it. It comes with many futures like, iTunes which plays music, videos and pictures. It also brings a 2.0 megapixel camera which is more or less becoming a new standard  in phones. But with this new phone comes a new lawsuit in regard to the name iPhone. Cisco claims rights to the name “iPhone” since it was purchased by a company they bought in the year 2000. So the name for the phone might change in a near future.

Steve  Jobs also introduced the Apple TV  to which I dont see any use. Its a wireless receiver, almost mini computer which syncs with your iTunes and enables you to play movies and videos and music in your television. It is not a bad idea, but maybe if they would of added a proyector to it I would of liked it better. But playing things that I have in my pc, to the tv is not worth 300 dollars specially when I could just burn it on a DVD and it will play nicely.

There where a bunch of other things anounced in CES, you could check out Crave from CNET for new hot products that are comming out and are brand new or soon to be brand new.
